Overview
Radical journalist Diwakar clashes with his traditional father and a scheming politician, Vithalrao, who seizes his newspaper. Disgusted, Diwakar leaves home. His wealthy girlfriend, Nalini, initially supports Vithalrao but later campaigns for Diwakar, who represents slum-dwellers in an election.
