Overview
The story follows Wen Hai, a 17‑year‑old boy who suddenly loses both of his parents in an accident. Because he’s underage, a court places him under the legal guardianship of his wealthy but emotionally distant half‑brother, Gu Huaizhou, whom he’s never met before. At first, Gu Huaizhou treats Wen Hai with cold indifference and even cruelty, and Wen Hai outwardly acts obedient while secretly resenting him. Over time, their relationship shifts in complicated ways — from hostility to reluctant reconciliation and then emotional and romantic tension — as they face the weight of family history, power imbalance, and taboo feelings between them.
